CAULFIELD

The Sportsman Weekend - - The Trackwork Winners - GEORGE LUCAS

MASTERING may have been a shade unlucky last start when held up in running at vital stage.

He has been flying on the training track this week and looks a leading contender in the Fiona Jamieson Handicap (1400m) at Caulfield tomorrow.

He worked on Wednesday morning over 1000m in 1.05.13 and 11.49 for the last 400m split.

looks the one to beat.

KACHING worked a strong 800m on Monday morning clocking 52.12 and home in 23.47 for the last 400m. He loves it first-up.

The in-form Sadler stable have COSMIC RUBY engaged in the Patricia Cooper Handicap (1000m) tomorrow. She is out to make it three in-a-row.

She galloped during the week over 600m in 37.41 with her last 400m in 23.62. Expect her to run well.

The freshen-up and 3kg claim of Liam Riordan is ideal for YULONG MONOCEROS.

MAGNESIUM ROSE has been kept relatively fresh for the Donya Van Pampus Handicap (1200m).

She comes to hand very quickly and has the services of top hoop Craig Williams tomorrow.

She rates as a major player in this field and on her home track.

MISS NORWAY is absolutely flying this time in. She stalked them last start and proved way too good. On the seven day back-up if they press on, she’ll take a power of beating in the Hinton Tooley Handicap (1100m). She’s holding her condition very well and stable very confident.

Very hard knock the recent form of the Maher/ Eustice-trained BLACK SAIL who has weighed in at his past five starts. He comes in okay at the weights and backing up on his gallant last start third on Boxing Day.

One of the leading fancies in the Nicholas Rehfisch Handicap (1600m) and with a little luck, he can win this.

ENIGMAN resumes in the Alicia White Handicap (1100m) and it’s worth noting he’s three from four firstup.

On Monday, he worked 800m in 55.09 and came home in 24.95 for his last 400m under a grip.

SHERIFF JOHN STONE comes in very nicely at the weights after the claim and goes well fresh. Big watch.
