WAY Phillip Stokes Rider lost the use of the nearside rein for a short distance near 200m. Rider reported that he was not too disappoint­ed with the performanc­e, 08-SEP-21 SANH stating in his opinion the gelding would benefit from today’s first-up run. He added that in the middle stages he was of two minds as to whether settled one off the fence trailing or come to that gelding’s outside three wide. He felt by maintainin­g a position three wide, this would allow him to build momentum into the race and therefore he elected to maintain that position. Vets no abnormalit­ies discovered. Rider reported that the colt overraced in the middle stages and failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure in the straight.
