Eat at Porcao

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - Escape - - RAFTING GRAND CANYON -

A stay in Rio can’t go without visiting every vegetarian’s nightmare, better known as Porcao. This meat-eaters’ restaurant is big on grills and is a scramble of activity as waiters weave between patrons and tables – and each other – with trays of lamb, beef, chicken and pork raised in the air with one hand, carving knives in the other. Rio film fans will remember the

chicken hearts’’ scene and I had the chance to try them out; perhaps a funny moment in the film, but not funny on my tastebuds.

* Like Nigel in the film, my cockatoo friends welcomed a KFC feast with open beaks and squawked boisterously in appreciation.

is released on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray andDVDon Wednesday. The author flew to Rio de Janeiro courtesy of Fox Home Entertainment.
