Big lick from pampered pets
Holiday parks are not only allowing dogs on site but also providing pooch-themed activities and off-leash areas

It’s a big statement about the direction the park is heading for pet-friendly appeal.
The park has been a dogfriendly destination for several years, but has stepped up its offering by opening a fenced, super-sized off-leash doggie park.
The park was created with the express purpose of providing dogs with room to stretch their legs and chase tennis balls to their hearts’ content while on holiday.
Park owner Theo Whitmont has also installed doggie agility equipment including a seesaw, hurdle, weave poles and more.
“We understand dogs are part of many families, so we think pups deserve to holiday in style like the rest of our guests,” Theo said. “Dogs often get left at home when families go out on the weekend so this is a chance to share the fun with them. We’d love to see local families drop in with their pups.”
But the pooches aren’t the only creatures at play in the park. A mini cow, two alpacas, chickens, a goat and some delightful ducks call a minifarm home at BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park.
