Scenic sets sail on mighty Asian rivers
SCENIC has launched its first South- East Asia river-cruising brochure featuring Mekong and Irrawaddy cruises. The 2016-17 program signals the inaugural sailing season for Scenic Spirit, which will launch on the Mekong in January travelling over eight days between Ho Chi Minh City and Siem Reap, and Scenic Aura launching in September next year on the Irrawaddy and travelling over 11 days between Mandalay and Pyay. Both vessels feature all balcony suites with separate bedroom and living room.
Book any journey to Indo-China for 13 days or longer and 14 days or longer to Myanmar by January 31 and fly free to South-East Asia including taxes – a saving of up to $3070 a couple. For example, the 13-day Treasures of the Mekong prices start from $5345 a person, twin share, for seven nights on Scenic Spirit plus three nights in Siem Reap and two nights in Ho Chi Minh City. For the 14-day Mystical Irrawaddy, prices start from $8195 a person, twin share. Cruise over 10 nights between Mandalay and Pyay plus two nights in Yangon and one night in Mandalay. Princess for a seven-night cruise calling at Cagliari in Sardinia, Tunis, Livorno for Florence and Pisa, Monte Carlo, Toulon and finishing in Barcelona for an overnight flight home.
