LUKE Kennedy;s s debut independen­t releaseele­ase is now available on iTunes.

And even a cursory listen too the five-track EP shows the listenerer just how personal thee album is.

Kennedy;s s relataions­hip with fello fellow singer er Naomi Price has been well documented­ented since he appeared on The Voice,Voice but the album is really the first time he hass publicly spoken about it.

Kennedy said he had Price in mind when he wrote the EP’s title track Skin & Scars.

“It’s about the people in our lives who we love the most,” he said. “The person you would give anything for, do anything for, drop everything and run to be with.

“For me, that is Naomi. I was definitely thinking about her when I wrote it.”

The album has been on the shelf for more than a year, while Kennedy negotiated his way out of a contract with Universal Music. Universal signed Kennedy dy after hee came second on n The Voice in 2013, but left him in the wilderness after releasing a collection of songs from

the show.
