INQUEST INTO HUGHES DEATH
THE NSW coroner will conduct an inquest into the death of Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes during a firstclass match at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
The 25-year-old former Test batsman died after being struck in the head by a shortpitched delivery while batting for South Australia against NSW in a Sheffield Shield match on November 25. A coroner’s court spokesman said a date for the inquest would be set on September 29.
