WWI planes take to sky

THE only col­lec­tion of fly­ing World War I air­craft in Aus­tralia will put on an aerial dis­play above Ca­bool­ture next week­end.

The TAVAS Great War Fly­ing Dis­play will show­case the sig­nif­i­cance Aus­tralian air­men played over the past 100 years.

The air­show will fea­ture a replica 1918 fighter of 1 Squadron do­ing a low fly-by in front of the crowd as well as a mod­ern F/A-18F Su­per Hor­net.

Tick­ets cost $30 at the gate for the show at Ca­bool­ture Air­field on April 21 and 22.
