Mus­ter­ing sup­port for prostate can­cer aware­ness

THIS year’s Gympie Mu­sic Muster will raise money for the Prostate Can­cer Foun­da­tion of Aus­tralia.

The muster has gen­er­ated more than $15 mil­lion for char- ity and com­mu­nity groups since it be­gan in 1982.

Muster chair Greg Ca­vanagh said the choice of this year’s char­ity part­ner was driven by the dis­pro­por­tion­ate im- pact prostate can­cer had in ru­ral and re­gional areas.

This year, a Big­gest Ever Bloke’s Lunch will be held at the Gympie Mu­sic Muster on Au­gust 24, in­clud­ing a two- course meal and guest speeches by coun­try artist John Wil­liamson and gui­tarist Tim Gaze. Tick­ets are $55 and can be pre-pur­chased at
