NIESJE SPICER 39, MOTHER, ZILLMERE The highlight of the Games for me was watching the women’s diving. Seeing such grace and skill and how they are able to do things with seemingly so little effort was very inspiring for me. I just admire the grace and beauty of diving. ALISSA KELLY 33, CLAIMS ADVISER, ANNERLEY When Bronte Campbell won over her sister Cate. I just felt so bad for her the whole time coming second to her sister, so I was glad when she won. MATT PETRIE 39, PROCUREMENT MANAGER, MT GRAVATT I would say the 100m sprint for the visually impaired was the most inspirational moment for me. They are really amazing athletes because even though they can’t see, they did it in a time which even I couldn’t do.

ROBERT REID 62, TRUCK DRIVER, DECEPTION BAY

I think when the three female runners waited on the track for the final athlete to finish the race. We needed it for our country. It showed the world what Aussies are about.

DANIEL WARD 21, GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS OFFICER, PIMPAMA

I’m not sure whether this is inspirational, but the power walker who was disqualified in the race is the moment I remember the most, because I felt sorry for her.
