School can bear Blair’s pictures

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - - CONFIDENTIAL -

CATHOLIC primary school teacher and Bachelor contestant Blair Thomas was just showing off what god had given her.

And she’s got the tick of approval from her bosses.

The reality TV star (pictured), who is a PE teacher at St Matthew’s Catholic College, Brisbane, has shared a number of racy pictures online prompting a few followers to make contact with Sunday Confidential.

But according to John Phelan, media adviser at the Brisbane Catholic Education Office, the photographs are, “what you’d expect from a young woman in her 20s and there’s nothing there that students wouldn’t see in any public place (such as a beach),” he said.

“There is nothing in the photos which damages the reputation of the teacher’s school, or of Brisbane Catholic Education.

“Brisbane Catholic Education has a code of conduct for staff that relates to use of social media. “The central point of that is that staff should not interact with students on social media, and there appears to be no evidence of this on Blair’s Instagram page.” She did however get a slap on the wrist for having a public account. “We do tell staff that it’s advisable that all their social media pages be locked down so the public cannot access them; the principal of Thomas’ school has reminded her of that today and she has changed the permissions on the acc count so that only those people to whom she has specifically granted access can see the images.” Thomas told Confidential following l her elimination from The Bachelor B that students were asking her daily about the show. She said she had used her calling out the “bullying” “between the women as a positive message.
