The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - - NEWS - BRIANNA MORRIS-GRANT

A MAN was stabbed and a woman suffered a possible drug overdose at a Gold Coast home yesterday morning.

Police and paramedics were called to the Oxley Drive, Paradise Point just after 9am yesterday. Multiple crews, including detectives responded.

A 46-year-old man reportedly suffered a stab wound to his hand and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.

The altercation occurred outside the home, with passing motorists alerting police. Police media reported it was unclear whether a woman at the scene was unconscious as a result of a drug overdose, an assault or a medical condition.

There is speculation a male fled the home yesterday before emergency services arrived, but police could only confirm that a male offender fled. It is believed the alleged offender was known to the victim.
