Money led to Mexico

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - - NEWS - SARAH BLAKE

COST was the deciding factor in choosing Mexico as the location for Karl Stefanovic’s wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough.

The couple weighed up options in Australia, the Pacific and Indonesia before deciding on Central America. “They looked at Wolgan Valley in the Blue Mountains but it was just too expensive,” a source said. “To have the wedding they wanted, it was going to cost more than $700,000. They get to do that in Mexico at a much lower and far more reasonable price.”

It’s understood the couple also looked at Kokomo Island in Fiji at a cost of several hundred thousand dollars and considered properties in Bali before opting for the One & Only Palmilla resort in the Mexican beach haven of Cabo.

Stefanovic is understood to have negotiated a discounted rate at the resort, plus there are cheaper hotel options nearby.
