Hair-raising court case
A HIGH school teacher has been charged with several child cruelty and battery counts after she forcibly cut the hair of a student.
Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward said in a statement yesterday that 52year-old Margaret Gieszinger faces up to three years and six months in jail if convicted of all six counts.
Gieszinger was arrested after a video was posted to social media.
The viedo showed a student at University Preparatory High School, in Visalia, sitting in a chair as Gieszinger cuts his hair and tosses chunks behind her.
