The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - - NEWS - JONATHON MORAN

QUEENSLAND rugby league great Gorden Tallis is expecting his third child, the first with his new partner.

The 45-year-old former Broncos star, aka “Raging Bull”, and partner Jemma Elder are expecting a child within the next six weeks.

Ms Elder has a seven-yearold son from a previous relationship while Tallis has two sons, aged 13 and 14, with his ex-wife.

“I don’t think we are as good looking or as famous as the Brady Bunch,” Tallis told The Sunday Mail yesterday.

“Life is different and family can be hard, and children can be challenging at times. We have a new journey ahead of us and we are just looking forward to the day this little baby gets to meet dad and mum.”

Tallis and Elder, who have been together for three years after meeting at Magic Millions, only went public about their relationship less than six months ago.

They have opted not to find out the baby’s gender.

“If it wasn’t a big enough surprise as it was – being 45 and having another baby, and Jemma being 40 and falling pregnant – the other part, I think we can wait,” he said.

Ms Elder is the daughter of former Labor politician Jim Elder and works as managing director of Personalised Plates in Queensland.

As for being a hands-on dad, Tallis added: “I’ve done nappies before.”
