Lawyers joining the fray for Burgess settlement
THE dust may still be settling on his shock split from wife Phoebe but Sam Burgess is now approaching the next phase of his high-profile le marriage collapse – the asset division.
Friends close to the e Rabbitohs star confirm lawyers have been engaged by both parties in what is shaping to be a costly carve-up of the bustling Brit’s hefty fortune which includes the couple’s $4 million mansion (where Phoebe is currently living) and a $1 million apartment in Little Cove where the Burgess matriarch Julie lives. Interestingly, Phoebe and Sam (pictured) almost snappe snapped up p another big p property buy re recently – a massive $6 million pad in Dover Heights. However despite in inspecting the home th the couple baulked at th the sale and pulled o out of making a deal. There is also Burgess’s whopping NRL earnings which amount to about a million bucks a season – a deal he has sewn up with Souths until 2022.
