When I first moved to Australia almost five years ago, it didn’t take me long to fall in love with the Aussie lifestyle. But there was one thing that took a little longer to get my head around – the obsession with activewear. The idea that people wore workout gear when they had no plans to actually exercise seemed utterly baffling. Of course, I quickly realised there are very good reasons for that.

Firstly, there’s heaps of it to choose from here, and much of it’s designed by Australians. Secondly it’s pretty stylish and super comfy – so why wouldn’t you forgo your jeans to spend weekends in stretchier, more breathable fabrics? But best of all, anyone, and I mean anyone – no matter your size, age or fitness level – can look and feel great in it.

So, now that I’m a full-fledged member of the fit-wardrobe fan club, this week we’re celebrating all that’s great about Aussie activewear – from the movers and shapers at the forefront of the industry, on page 8, to our pick of the best new- season styles to suit your body type, on page 4.

Elsewhere in this issue, we’re bringing you a sneak peek of our new glossy magazine ‘10 Minutes to Calm’ on page 14. On sale from tomorrow, think of it as your ultimate handbagsized guide to sapping stress and keeping your cool in any situation. You’re welcome!
