Working at body+soul, wellbeing is always at the forefront of our minds, both personally and professionally. As a result, daily trips to the office gym and taking advantage of our company’s health programs are par for the course. But not everyone is as lucky when it comes to their employers supporting their health and wellbeing. In a bid to discover more, we teamed up with the experts at YouGov Galaxy on the b+s 2018 Worklife Survey – a nationwide poll that asked Aussies about their work wellbeing: what do they want from their workplace to feel healthy and happy? What are their employers doing right, and what’s desperately needed?
The results were fascinating, because while there is a general consensus that employers should be paying attention to this area, more than half of those surveyed said their companies had no formal health and wellbeing policies in place. And with stress now the most prevalent health condition among workers, a lot more needs to be done to boost resilience and morale. Find out all the details below.
Elsewhere in this issue, we look at the surprising things you probably don’t know about common medication – like the fact that pink pills taste sweet or that grapefruit juice can interfere with some drugs. Check out our report on page 6. Have a great week!
