FROM THE EDITOR

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - Body and Soul - - B+S - – ELIN

It’s official! Despite my attempts to pretend otherwise, we’ve reached the pointy end of the year and we’re rapidly hurtling towards Christmas.

If you’re anything like me, that means writing and re-writing to-do lists and gift lists almost daily and then wondering how/why hardly anything’s been crossed out by the time Christmas Eve hits.

If you’re in a quandary about what to buy some of your nearest and dearest or, more importantly, you still don’t know what to put on your own wish list, turn to page 6 – we’ve done all the hard work for you.

You’ll find everything from the best new healthy cookbooks, to the coolest fitness accessories and must-have beauty buys in our round-up of good-for-you gifts.

But if experiences are more your thing, or you know someone who could really do with a bit of me-time, check out our relaxation-gifting options on page 13.

Elsewhere in this issue, we explore a gift no amount of money can buy – the gift of life. On page 8, the extraordinary story of what led Grace O’Connell from Sydney to donate one of her kidneys to her younger sister Lily, will help to put all that excessive worrying over all the presents you haven’t bought into perspective.

Because nothing says ‘I love you’ like giving someone a second chance at life.
