Astrologer Yasmin Boland scans the stars to reveal your forecast in everything from love to work

CAPRICORN December 22 – January 20

If you’ve had just about enough of everyone and everything, think about it – don’t you maybe feel a bit this way every year, as the sun dips into your 12th house? You probably do and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to sequester yourself away temporarily. Just do it and emerge refreshed.

AQUARIUS January 21 – February 19

This is a potentially social time for you and not just because we’re entering the so- called silly season in the lead-up to the end of the year. You actually have super-social stars, which means you don’t have to work too hard. Rather, get out there on the scene and lavish people with your glorious company.

PISCES February 20 – March 20

You could feel a little off this week and maybe a tad confused. Your best bet to counter the undeniably weird energies swirling around your sign is to do something that qualifies as a ‘spiritual sport’, such as yoga, tai chi or chi kung. Don’t know how? One word: YouTube. Download some clarity now.

ARIES March 21 – April 20

If you’re feeling a bit confused this week, it’s really not all that surprising, given the Mars/ Neptune madness in the ethers. Get through the strangeness by counting your blessings. It’s always a good idea to do this but especially so for you now, with the new moon/Jupiter energies swirling around.

TAURUS April 21 – May 21

You’re now in a first-rate period for your sex life and your finances. Can you feel it yet? If you’ve had issues with either of these in the past, you might need to change your mindset. Think of the possibilities rather than focusing on what hasn’t worked in the past – 2019 is going to be a big one for you.

GEMINI May 22 – June 22

This week, the focus is on your love life. If you don’t have a love life but you wish you did, then that’s a good place to start. As in, make some wishes; write them down, read them out loud and invite them into your life. If you’re already attached, expect things to get even better in several areas.

CANCER June 23 – July 23

Right now, you have several tasks ahead of you, so get organised. It’s time to embrace ‘routine’. It may sound boring, but if you respect the process by giving yourself and others due consideration, you will manage to tick off all the boxes, and things can and will become amazing.

LEO July 24 – August 23

The pressure is off you at work for a while. If your professional life has felt like a frog in a sock for the past few months, it should ease up. This leaves you with more time for the same thing I mentioned last week – fun! Seriously. Have some and enjoy all the pleasures that this time of year can bring.

VIRGO August 24 – September 23

This is the time to go from one state of being to another. But don’t just go with the flow. It’s a period where if you want change, you need to make some movements in the direction that you want to go. For you in particular, change is possible when it comes to your finances, sex life and domestic set-up.

LIBRA September 24 – October 23

If you can start to focus on thinking positively, your life will change for the better. That doesn’t mean suppressing negative emotions, though. It means working through them and processing them to find your way back to a more positive outlook. It’s worth taking the time to master this.

SCORPIO October 24 - November 22

Your biggest enemy this week is fear. Why do you think former US president Franklin D Roosevelt said “all we have to fear is fear itself”? Because it bothers us and you don’t want to be bothered, do you? If you do this to yourself, you could miss out on the super-magical time that’s on offer to you now.
