Do you get queasy on road trips? Look out the win­dow. Mo­tion sick­ness is caused by a dis­tur­bance in your in­ner ear, which con­trols your bal­ance. By fo­cus­ing on a fixed point in the dis­tance, such as the hori­zon, it helps to re-es­tab­lish your sense of bal­ance. An­other tip is to find a spot where you’ll feel the least move­ment – so the front of the car, over the wing of a plane or in a mid­dle cabin close to the wa­ter­line when on a cruise ship.
