A study in the jour­nal Phys­i­ol­ogy and Be­hav­iour found that parched driv­ers make twice as many mis­takes as those who are well-hy­drated, which is the equiv­a­lent of driv­ing with a blood-al­co­hol con­tent of 0.08 – well over the le­gal limit. Ac­cord­ing to the re­searchers, de­hy­dra­tion can re­duce your con­cen­tra­tion, so keep a wa­ter bot­tle handy.
