DIAMOND FOREST FARM STAY MINIMUM TWO-NIGHT STAY $180 A NIGHT (2 ADULTS & 2 KIDS)

Set your GPS to guide you between Pemberton and Manjimup in Western Australia’s southwest, and pull into Diamond Forest Farm Stay. Here, four Western red cedar cottages – two of which are pet-friendly – provide the city comforts you love (hello, airconditioning), with a bounty of country charm. Each morning, hosts Mark and Kerriann will introduce you to their menagerie – like donkeys Violet and J.R., Bambi the Jersey cow and mini pig Vivien – for feeding time. But since you’re staying, you can visit all the farmyard characters for a pat, any time of day. Afterwards, take one of the canoes out for a paddle or throw a line into the dam to fish for rainbow trout. Stock up at roadside honesty stalls then mosey down to the gazebo or the picnic table near the willow trees.
