SHORT AND SWEET
The culinary world is very conservative. Has your unique style ever caused a (sorry for this) stir in the kitchen? I’ve always been more of an “ask ffor forgiveness, not permission” kind of girl. But I actually think it’s helped me.
Your decadent sugary confections are legendary. Where does the inspiration come from? Growing up, all my money went to lollies; my creations stem from childhood memories of Redskins, Milk Bottles and Snakes from the milk bar. Mum used to get mad, but it was all in the name of research. You’ve met a heap of celebs in your career. Now be honest and tell us who made you more excited: Gordon Ramsay or Cookie Monster. I lost my sh*t meeting Gordon.
I always looked up to him. He’s seen as a brash rule breaker, but he’s a big softie, too. After a long day in front of the mixer, are you tempted to turn up to a potluck with a Viennetta from time to time? Or do you refrain lest your reputation professional be destroyed? No way! Who doesn’t love a Viennetta? I’d be the most popular guest there. Family Food Fight airs 7.30pm, Monday and Tuesday, on the Nine Network.
