Ex­ploit­ing the ap­petite for food-based re­al­ity shows, Ten brings back the bighit­ters from MasterChef sea­sons past.

This one caters to those who lose their ap­petite for wall-to-wall Olympics cov­er­age, with an All-Star 12 bat­tling in teams, then solo, for Grand All Pow­er­ful MasterChef Cham­pion of the En­tire Uni­verse. OK, so I made the ti­tle up. What is true is that the likes of Julie Good­win, Poh Ling Yeow, Chris Bade­noch. Justine Schofield and Hay­den Quinn are back, rais­ing money for their favourite char­i­ties. From next week runs Sun­day to Thursdays. com­peti­tors, or, face it, its Hamish and Andy, maybe even team man­agers.

The com­edy duo’s stint based in Lon­don has been worth the trip, with rat­ings of around 1.3 mil­lion at each out­ing – an im­prove­ment on last year’s New York visit. Ex­pect a com­i­cal turn as the pair put their all into their fi­nal bid be­fore clos­ing down their stu­dio in an old Lon­don pub.
