Drama 9.30pm, SBSONE
This film by Academy Award-winner Errol Morris is about Joyce McKinney, who was a ’70s equivalent of Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan all in one.
American McKinney became a UK tabloid sensation when it was learned she had flown to England and kidnapped her former fiance, a practising Mormon, and tied him to a bed in a remote cottage in Devon so she could have sex with him. McKinney justifies her actions, while members of the British press give their take on this crazy tale. In McKinney’s eyes, she was a young girl madly in love, but others had a much darker take on it.
