Two-year-old Viet was born with one of the world’s rarest deformities: a cleft palate and bilateral facial clefts, which affect the way he looks and cause blindness in both eyes. Without surgery, Viet will struggle to eat and speak. The little boy travels with his parents from Vietnam to England. A medical team led by surgeon Niall Kirkpatrick has offered to rebuild his face. The surgery is lengthy and intensive and everyone involved (especially little Viet) is inspiring.
