CHICAGO FIRE

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - TV Guide - - You Can't Miss - – DD

DRAMA, 9.45PM, SEVEN

There has never been a better show about life in the fire brigade than Denis Leary’s Rescue Me. Set in post-911 New York City, it could make you laugh aloud one minute, break your heart the next. Buy the box set. Chicago Fire is a soapier, more familyfriendly approach to life in the station house. And it’s not bad. Tonight it features a nice turn from Treat Williams, who has come in as Bennie Severide (father of Kelly). Bennie, himself a fireman, is a loose cannon who insists he’s misunderstood and that he’ll behave like a “mute choirboy” at the station. Which means he’ll create havoc.
