The relationship between Nina and Billie is believably sisterly because it’s far from saccharine.

KAT: “I don’t have sisters, but there is something special about sisters. I’m lucky I’ve had a couple of experiences to play a sister and live that relationship vicariously – with Justine Clarke on Tangle and now with Asher. One of the joys has been working with her more this season – there’s real shorthand that develops in five years, and she’s so good.”

ASHER: “To see the sisters try and find their way to a place of relative emotional maturity is a battle, but it becomes really the great love affair of this series. It’s been really fulfilling to play that out with Kat.”

FAVOURITE SCENES: “I love the shenanigans,” Stewart says. “When we were stalking Dr Chris in the first series – that was fun. I’ve sort of tortured her getting ready for dates. As well as the warm stuff, I’ve enjoyed the antagonistic nature of the relationship.”
