The two shows seem cut from the same cloth. Sacha Horler (left) stars as the brash Victoria ‘Sando’ Sandringham who runs discount furniture chain Sando’s Warehouse. Sando’s world unravels when it is discovered that she is pregnant to her daughter Susie’s (Krew Boylan) fiancé Kevin (Firass Dirani). Cue wedding mayhem.
Later Sando is dumped from her own company by CFO Tony (Rob Carlton) after too many drunken benders. But Sando has a plan – to fake a medical emergency – to get back together with ex-husband Don (Phil Lloyd) and the rest of her estranged family.
isn’t sophisticated – the dick jokes arrive pretty early – but it is great fun and Horler is outstanding in the central role. The cheap-and-nasty mock Sando’s Warehouse ads are a hoot. Next week’s second episode maintains the quality. If you liked you’ll want to check this out.
