ROYALS RULE I N KITCHEN

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - TV Guide - - Don't Miss This Week -

THIS sometime royal correspondent still has a serious case of Windsor family fever, a craving that is sated this week with an appearance by Charles and Camilla on

We’ve seen her son Tom Parker Bowles on our small screen before (as a judge last year on Nine’s but now it’s the Duchess of Cornwall’s turn to welcome the contestants to a challenge in Darwin, where the crown couple are expecting to be well fed at a reception, hosted at the Royal Flying Doctors’ Service Centre. Besides the once-in-a-lifetime thrill for the amateur cooks, what I love about this episode is how it turns judges Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan (left with the Duchess) and especially George Calombaris into giggling choirboys.

The menu also reflects the glorious diversity of our great country’s cuisine, celebrating native flavourings, indigenous ingredients and local produce in the 450 bite-size canapes (including gluten-free and halal options).

And fun fact: this is not the Preston family’s first brush with royalty – Matt’s sister is a former editor of Palace bible magazine.
