RONNI TO THE RESCUE

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - TV Guide - - Don't miss this week -

BEFORE Ronni Kahn saw the disposal of tonnes of perfectly edible food and decided she’d find the solution to this shocking problem.

In 2004, the Sydneysider founded food rescue charity, OzHarvest, which gathered the extras from restaurants and corporations and saved them from the $20 billion-plus scrapheap.

This hour-long doco follows her remarkable story over two years – travelling across four continents in her crusade; with the hope it will continue the conversation about waste.

Leading the way hasn’t been easy, as Kahn told magazine: “being a changemaker involves ruffling many feathers,” but she added proudly, “this is going to be my life’s work.”
