STARTING FROM SCRATCH

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - TV Guide - - Front Page -

“THE best way to sell a house is not to fill it with cats.” Sound advice from Andrew Winter, who together with Shaynna Blaze and Charlie Albone (pictured left with Winter and Blaze), is tasked with trying to fix up and offload mother-of-three Lynn Auberson’s Normanhurst home of 38 years. Lynn’s family, particularly middle daughter Jo, have spent months decluttering the three-bedroom 1960s solid brick home. The word “spartan” comes to mind – a bed, a couch, a recliner and a microwave is about it. “No one should be living like this,” Blaze says. No wonder there has been no offers, despite 130 groups going through the home over the past four months. The $1.2 million price tag and damage from fostering moggies don’t help. Nor do the green walls. And curb appeal – zero. An added pressure – one that could haunt this entire 12th season of Selling Houses Australia
