DURING the Rwandan genocide 25 years ago, it’s estimated 250,000 women were raped and many bore the child of their attacker. For some of these women, such as Rose, their baby’s face was their rapist’s. Today Rose and her adult daughter still struggle to relate to each other. For others such as Eugenie (pictured), her two children born from rape were eventually loved unconditionally.
