WE all know Hollywood loves a reboot. But it’s equally true to argue that a sixpart series allows greater flexibility to explore Umberto Eco’s sprawling novel than a cinematic release ever could. Here, the always brilliant John Turturro plays William of Baskerville, an enlightened monk investigating a series of grizzly deaths in an Italian abbey. It is beautifully shot and Turturro turns in another compelling performance.
