8.30PM, SBS VICELAND A GROUP of in­no­cent peo­ple has vol­un­teered to be locked up in real jails for 60 days. No­body in­side those pris­ons, apart from the par­tic­i­pants and the film crew, know that they are not real crim­i­nals and, as such, they are treated (and mis­treated) in pre­cisely the same way as any other pris­oner would be. Their hope in tak­ing part in this of­ten dan­ger­ous ex­per­i­ment is that it will shine a light on what life is re­ally like be­hind bars.
