Norman in mix for six
DON’T forget about me.
That’s the message Corey Norman will be hoping to send out loud and clear to Queensland coach Kevin Walters today as the Maroons mull over a possible replacement for five-eighth Johnathan Thurston.
Most of the hype this week centred on Manly’s Daly Cherry-Evans and Brisbane’s Anthony Milford in their head-tohead battle at Suncorp Stadium last night.
However, Walters has already stated that Norman is the third horse in the race and the Parramatta playmaker is looking to push his Queensland No. 6 claims when he lines up against the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium.
Norman has seven try assists for the year, putting him in the NRL’s top 10, while his kicking has been outstanding, making the sixth-most metres (302 per game) and forcing most dropouts (11).
