Rapana will rev up Ross

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - NRL - BARRY TOOHEY

NATHAN Ross loves the challenge Jordan Rapana provides rival wingers.

It’s why he is looking forward to their battle when the Knights clash with Canberra at Newcastle today.

“Jordan is one of my favourite wingers in the comp and one of my favourite players to play against,” Ross said.

“You look forward to these games to challenge yourself. It’s going to be a good battle.”

Fresh from his first taste of representative footy with City Origin, Ross has aspirations to play at an even higher level.

NSW coach Laurie Daley has already singled him out as a player who wouldn’t look out of place in a Blues jumper.

“It’s good to know I’m in his sights,” Ross said. “I think I played well in the City-Country game but I have got to bring that form back to Newcastle now and play well here.”
