Booze ban and Ablett’s on ice

SHANG­HAI will host the Gold Coast-Port Ade­laide AFL game with no beer. There will be an al­co­hol ban for gen­eral ad­mis­sion fans at Jiang­wan Sta­dium dur­ing to­day’s his­toric match be­tween the Suns and Port.

Al­co­hol will be served in the cor­po­rate suites.

Port Ade­laide are adamant star util­ity Rob­bie Gray will play de­spite look­ing un­com­fort­able yes­ter­day.

Gold Coast star Gary Ablett was the only player miss­ing from their light train­ing ses­sion ear­lier yes­ter­day.

“You just don’t back him up the next day, like a good horse,” Suns as­sis­tant coach Matthew Primus said.
