Low-maintenance wins out
FORGET bay views, low maintenance was the crucial factor for the auction success of a home at Caringbah South.
The ultra-modern, tri-level house with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two car spots and Burraneer Bay views at 166 Gannons Rd sold for $1,992,500. The reserve was $1.9 million for the home on a 586sqm block.
Auctioneer Andrew Cooley of Cooley Auctions took a first bid of $1.82 million. It went up in $20,000 increments and slowed to smaller increments after it hit $1.9 million.
A Caringbah South executive couple won the day.
Agent Alex Pitsis of Greg Gilbert Real Estate Cronulla said it was a great result. “We had good numbers through and there is good confidence with buyers; we’re still in a strong market,” he said.
