NICOLE DA SILVA
Nicole da Silva’s formidable performance as Franky Doyle in Wentworth came close to winning her a Most Outstanding Supporting Actress Logie.
But fans will resume their acquaintance with this versatile actress’s gentler side when she returns to the small screen later this year in Doctor Doctor.
The hardest working item in my wardrobe is … My John Fluevog boots. I bought my first pair (brown) years ago in Canada, and I’ve since gone one on to buy another (black). They’re worn most days, with everything and getting better with age.
My most recent purchase was ... a replenish of my daily uniform — black tee, grey tee, black jeans, grey jeans. I’m a fan of the interchangeable, uniform wardrobe, with a few signature items.
The wardrobe I wish I could raid belongs to … Katharine Hepburn. She had such a brilliant sense of style.
My make-up MVP is … Coconut oil. I use it for everything; moisturiser, mouth wash, conditioner. The list goes on. My ultimate skincare
saviour is ... Applebox Skincare. I’m a big fan of the Reverse Action Night Serum and the 5am Skin Booster. They’re Australian owned, natural, locally sourced and they make my skin look and feel great.
My morning routine involves …. An internal battle to not check social media. A quick flick through emails and the news. A complete loss to socials media. Meditate. MExercise.
I’m a regular at ... Lyfe Cafe, Bondi Beach. EllieE the owner is a continualco source of f entertainment (Hi Ellie!).
My party trick is ... Leaving before things get messy.
I’m currently binge watching … The Fall. Gillian Anderson is brilliant in it.
I’m Instagram stalking … Vintage70s (inset), a collection of sexy, ’70s inspired fashion images; and overheardLA, memes dedicated to conversations that have been overheard in Los Angeles. It’s very funny, and having spent a lot of time there, very accurate.
My favourite app is … Think Dirty. You scan cosmetics and personal care products and it reveals how toxic they are.
My five, real or fictional, dream dinner party guests … Ricky Gervais, Michelle and Barack Obama, Frida Kahlo and David Bowie as Jareth the Goblin King.
If my life had a hashtag, it would be … #AlwaysCapitaliseYour HashtagsBecauseItMakes ThemEasierToRead AS TOLD TO RENATA GORTAN
