JAMIE’S ITAL­IAN, PITT ST, CITY

AN eclec­tic mix of sup­pli­ers, food in­dus­try types, me­dia and cor­po­rates joined uber celebrity chef Jamie Oliver at his Pitt St fran­chise on Tues­day night to cel­e­brate the next chap­ter of the res­tau­rant.

Oliver told host Matt Preston that he was plan­ning to spend more time Down Un­der and open a lo­cal fran­chise of his high-end Lon­don steak­house Bar­be­coa.

Guests were treated to a spread of fresh oysters, scal­lops and cured meats and left with goodie bags con­tain­ing Jamie Oliver-branded oven mitts and tea tow­els. SALLY RAWSTHORNE
