Village living a big attraction
FAMILIES and downsizers battled at auction for a charming Federation semi known as Hollyhock.
There were four bidders for the four-bedroom, three-bathroom house, at 7 The Crescent, and it sold for $200,000 above reserve at auction for $2.95 million.
A young Cremorne family beat lower north shore bidders for the property on 277sqm of land.
Belle Property Mosman agent David Smeallie said “buyers were happy to compromise on parking over convenience because of the village living and walking distance to everything”.
Meanwhile, at East Ryde, 14 flippers, renovators and families registered for a two-level, three-bedroom family home. Stefon Bertram of McGrath Ryde said the partly renovated home at 14 Melba Dr sold $140,000 above reserve at $1.94 million to an Ermington family who will knock down and rebuild.
