WITH an older brother Jerome, 10, and big sister Monique, 7, baby Chelsea’s arrival added a new level to busyness at the Panetta household.

“With two children at school, mornings and afternoons are especially hectic,” says mum Erika. The advantage for Chelsea is her adoring siblings, especially Monique, who is smitten with her own “living doll”.

Chelsea was named after dad Sam’s favourite English football team, while her second name was mum’s choice. After an uneventful pregnancy, Chelsea was delivered three weeks early in an emergency caesarean when Erika developed premature contractions. Although early, Chelsea had no ill-effects.

After waking every two hours for feeds for her first two months, Erika says Chelsea is now sleeping much better. Although tiring with a third child, Erika advises mothers to “follow their instincts”, and recommends feeding on demand.
