Lucy strikes it lucky with Seal

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - INSIDER -

IT isn’t all vocal training and wardrobe fittings behind the scenes on The Voice.

Coach Seal found a novel way of mentoring 15- yearold charge Lucy Sugerman last week — over a game of ten pin bowling.

“The Voice is a fantastic experience, but it can also be stressful,” the father of four ( pictured with Sugerman) said. “It is important for all 15- yearolds to have fun and that’s the very reason we went bowling.”

While Seal took Lucy bowling, fellow coach Delta Goodrem shared snaps with her artists jamming around her piano at home.

Seal has all three of his artists still in competition — Sugerman, Rennie Adams and Berni Harrison — with Hailee Steinfeld to perform on tonight’s live show on Channel 9.

“I had no idea that mentoring would lead to going bowling with Seal — it was such a wonderful surprise,” Sugerman said. “It showedd how much he cares about his artists and how much of a hands- on coach he really is,” she added.

“We chatted about life, the live shows, music and how bad we are at bowling.”
