LEADING neurosurgeon Charlie Teo launched a new charity, The Charlie Teo Foundation, at his new headquarters on Thursday night.

Teo decided to end his association with his first not for profit, The Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, late last year due to spiralling administrative costs.

Gina Reinhart, a close friend of Teo’s, was the big-name appearance on the night, with the pair posing happily for pictures together.

More than 100 people turned up on the night to show their support for the foundation, which is aimed at saving the lives of Australians, particularly children.

Guests included Larry Emdur, Jim Wilson, Emma Alberici, Chris Smith and Leo Sayer. ALISON STEPHENSON
