Winx finds paddock the place to relax

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - RACING - MATT JONES

THIS is how champions spend their holidays. Winx relaxing in the paddock after another unbeaten preparation that culminated in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

We’re wondering if Hugh Bowman’s ban (which meant she missed her first-up run in the Apollo Stakes over 1400m) might influence her next preparation. Perhaps connections will start her first-up again over a mile. Bowman’s always maintained she’s most vulnerable over 1400m. DAMIEN Oliver’s Seabrook success took him to outright second on the list of Group 1 wins by Australian jockeys. It was his 110th major to go past Roy Higgins but still nine behind George Moore.
