A QUIET PLACE 90 min­utes (M) In the crash-bang-pow mul­ti­plex en­vi­ron­ment, this silent hor­ror movie takes the less-is-more ap­proach to in­spired ex­tremes. BLOCK­ERS 102 min­utes (MA15+) Three over-pro­tec­tive par­ents try to stop their teenage daugh­ters from hav­ing sex. Un­derneath the gross-out hu­mour, the gen­der re­la­tion­ships are re­fresh­ingly ro­bust. LOVE, SI­MON 110 min­utes (M) Com­ing out is ex­traor­di­nar­ily com­pli­cated in this sweetly sub­ver­sive teenage crowd-pleaser. READY PLAYER ONE 140 min­utes (M) Fan boys go head-to-head with profit-driven Suits in Steven Spiel­berg’s love let­ter to ’80s pop cul­ture. PETER RAB­BIT 95 min­utes (PG) A jaunty re­boot of the muchloved chil­dren’s clas­sic.
