CON ILIO

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - NEWS -

I used an ivory raw silk gown, as it has a similar appearance to the ivory silk taffeta used in Diana’s wedding gown. The soft, hourglass skirt drops from the low point of the waist and incorporates

English tulle and crinoline ribbon petticoats to build the body of the gown. The bodice has an open boat neck and a subtle v-line at the back with pearl buttons, (also used in Diana’s gown) extending down her back to the end of the 4m-long train. Embroidery is a timeless trend, so I have used a lily of the valley design, which represents a long love.
