Teacher vic­tim had lust for life

A TEACHER with three children and eight grand­chil­dren was among the vic­tims of the deadly mass shoot­ing at a Texas high school.

Cyn­thia Tis­dale’s niece, Leia Olinde, said she was like a mother to her and helped her shop for wed­ding dresses last year. “She helped me put it on, she helped fix my hair,” Ms Olinde said. “She was won­der­ful. She was just so lov­ing. I’ve never met a wo­man who loved her fam­ily so much.”

Ms Tis­dale was mar­ried to her hus­band for close to 40 years and the cou­ple had three children and eight grand­chil­dren.

Other con­firmed vic­tims in­cluded stu­dents Sabika Sheikh, Chris Stone, Kim Vaughan, An­gelique Ramirez, Aaron Kyle McLeod, Chris­tian Gar­cia and Shana Fisher.

Sabika Sheikh was a for­eign ex­change stu­dent from Pakistan. Me­gan Lysaght, of the Kennedy-Lu­gar Youth Ex­change and Study pro­gram, said they were dev­as­tated by the loss. “We will re­mem­ber Sabika in our thoughts and prayers,” she wrote.
